- Watch when thoroughfares become compacted and the grass doesn’t grow. The antidote is aeration by grabbing a pitchfork, jabbing it in and loosening the ground or strapping on aerating shoes and walking over the lawn.
- A more professional and less time-consuming technique is to hire a corer or ask us to core the lawn for you. If you have bare patches, this is a good time to add lawn seed. Keep it moist and you will end up with a lush green cover over winter.
