The garden has really suffered in the last few weeks and even the weeds have turned a golden-brown! The rain and gentle heat in early spring encouraged lush, soft growth and then the consistent over 30 degree heat of the last few weeks burnt all the soft growth and encouraged rapid seeding. Now we have dry and dying lawns, weeds with ripe seed heads and ugly-looking, half-burnt plants. What to do?
We can do it all for you using our team of qualified horticulturists.

- Plant summer and autumn flowering bulbs and annuals
- Mulch everything, preferably after rain to protect the soil and shallow roots from the drying effect of the sun.
- Check gum trees and citrus for scale (a sure sign is ants crawling up the trunks) and either squash (wear gloves) or spray with eco oil

- Vegetables should be ‘powering ahead’ and if they aren’t you need to give them a liquid feed, little and often or weekly, weakly! Keep the watering regular, particularly to tomatoes
- Check tomatoes and citrus for bugs but wear sun or safety glasses to protect your eyes
