- Vegetables should be ‘powering ahead’ and if they aren’t you need to give them a liquid feed, little and often or weekly, weakly! Keep the watering regular, particularly to tomatoes.
- Put in successive sowings of carrots, lettuce, etc. to ensure continuous cropping
- Check tomatoes and citrus for bugs but wear sun or safety glasses to protect your eyes. They will ‘sidle’ around behind the stem when they see you coming so don’t be fooled! Knock them off into a bucket of water with detergent in it.
