- Prune canes of summer fruiting raspberries to the ground if they have borne fruit. Canes that haven’t fruited should be left.
- As soon as all the leaves have fallen from grapes and wisteria (usually about mid-June) they can be pruned back to about the 2nd or 3rd bud from the laterals. The exception is sultana grapes which should be pruned to about 30 or 50 cms from the laterals.
- Fruit trees (with the exception of cherries and apricots) can be pruned from mid-June onwards as can roses although these can be left as late as early August.
