A clothesline support designed to be a feature

The Challenges: To provide an inviting, functional space for entertaining that made the garden look bigger, which was drought tolerant, low maintenance and had year-round interest.

The Solution: We removed the lawn, built and rendered walls to level the area and built a deck and pergola for entertaining with summer shade and winter sun. We built-in storage that doubles as seating, a barbecue area with a herb planter box next to it, lighting for both mood and visibility and a clothesline that is a beautiful feature as well as practical. The plants used have colour at all times of the year, e.g., Cercis 'Forest Pansy' and Libertia ixiodes 'Gold Finger' and are both drought tolerant and low maintenance.

The Result: The very happy client now has a practical, colourful and beautiful garden and entertaining area that requires little maintenance.
